Position Summary:

We are seeking a proficient and detail-oriented Bookkeeper/Accountant with expertise in QuickBooks to join our team. The ideal candidate will handle various bookkeeping tasks, including account cleanups, QuickBooks management, and back-end accounting work. While an expert level in QuickBooks is required, having a CPA qualification would be advantageous. The role involves maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting principles, and supporting real estate projects when necessary.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform account cleanups and reconcile discrepancies to ensure accurate financial records.
  • Manage QuickBooks efficiently, handling day-to-day transactions and conducting periodic cleanups.
  • Apply accounting principles to maintain compliance and accuracy in financial reporting.
  • Assist with closing statements for various financial periods or projects.
  • Support real estate projects by providing relevant financial data and analysis as needed.
  • Handle back-end accounting tasks to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
  • Manage normal transactions, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in recording financial data.
  • Collaborate with other team members to address any accounting or bookkeeping issues promptly.

Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in English with clear communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Expert level in QuickBooks, with demonstrated experience in managing complex financial data.
  • Knowledge of accounting principles and regulations, with the ability to apply them effectively.
  • CPA qualification is preferred, but not mandatory. However, candidates with a CPA background will be given preference.
  • Experience in real estate projects or related industries is advantageous.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial data management.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent time management skills.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities, with a willingness to ask questions and seek clarification during the accounting process.
