Position Summary:

The Social Media Coordinator will be responsible for managing and enhancing the organization's online presence across various social media platforms. This role involves creating engaging content, fostering community engagement, collaborating with influencers and partners, and implementing crisis management strategies when necessary.

Responsibilities:

  • Content Creation and Curation:
    • Create compelling and shareable content tailored to each social media platform.
    • Curate relevant content from industry sources and user-generated content to complement original posts.
  • Social Media Management:
    • Manage and maintain the organization's presence on multiple social media platforms, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, and others.
    • Schedule and publish regular posts, ensuring consistency in brand messaging and tone.
    • Community Engagement:
    • Foster and grow the organization's online community by actively responding to comments, messages, and mentions.
    • Encourage user-generated content and engage with followers to build relationships.
  • Collaboration:
    • Work with influencers and partners to expand the organization's reach and impact in the digital space.
  • Crisis Management:
    • Actively monitor social media channels for potential issues or crises.
    • Implement strategies to address any negative publicity promptly and effectively.
  • Stay Informed:
    • Keep abreast of industry trends, social media platform updates, and changes in algorithms.
    • Continuously seek opportunities to innovate and enhance the organization's social media presence.
  • Compliance:
    • Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations governing social media activities.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field.
  • Proven experience in managing social media platforms and growing online communities.
  • Strong understanding of social media trends, algorithms, and best practices.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
  • Creative thinker with a passion for digital marketing and social media.
  • Experience with crisis management and the ability to handle sensitive situations professionally.
  • Proficiency in using social media management tools and analytics platforms.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain brand consistency across all channels.
  • Previous experience in managing social media for a tech company is advantageous but not required.
