Position Summary:

As a Sales Development Representative (SDR), you will play an instrumental role in driving our fundraising efforts to new heights by engaging with potential sponsors and nurturing those relationships to support our host school's projects and events. This position requires a strategic approach to identifying and connecting with local businesses within sectors such as dental, real estate, insurance, HVAC, plumbing, electrical contracting, and beauty salons. Utilizing outbound communication strategies, including calls and emails, you will articulate the value and benefits of our sponsorship opportunities, aiming to align business interests with our school's community initiatives.

Responsibilities:

  • Prospecting: Identify potential local businesses for sponsorship opportunities based on the host school's location, focusing on industries like dental, real estate, insurance, and more.
  • Outbound Communication: Conduct outbound calls and emails to decision-makers at targeted businesses, presenting the fundraising campaign's goals and the advantages of becoming a sponsor.
  • Email Correspondence: Follow up with contacts via email after initial calls, providing further details about the campaign and addressing any questions or concerns.
  • Value Proposition: Clearly explain the benefits and value of sponsorship, customizing presentations to meet the specific needs and interests of each business.
  • Lead Nurturing: Implement a systematic follow-up strategy to cultivate relationships with potential sponsors, ensuring continuous engagement.
  • Data Management: Accurately record all interactions, feedback, and progress in a Google Sheet for effective lead tracking and management.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in sales, outbound calling, or business development, preferably in a B2B setting.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey complex information and persuade decision-makers.
  • Strong organizational skills and proficiency in managing multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Experience with Google Sheets or similar data management tools for tracking interactions and outcomes.
  • A self-starter with a high degree of motivation and the ability to work independently.
  • Knowledge of or experience in the targeted industries for sponsorship is highly desirable.
