Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Payment Posting Specialist to join our team. The Payment Posting Specialist will be responsible for posting electronic and paper payments from third-party payers, government agency payers, and patients in a timely and accurate manner. This individual will ensure all payments and adjustments are posted in compliance with contract terms and government regulations and will notify appropriate departments when payments and/or adjustments are not in compliance.

Job Details:

  • Work from home
  • Monday to Friday | 11:30 PM to 8:30 AM (Manila time)
  • *Following US Holidays
  • *Shift could start as early as 9 PM once you have gotten a hang of things.
  • *Overtime might be expected during month-end closing.

Responsibilities:

  • Post payments accurately and in a timely manner based on explanation of benefits (EOBs) from insurance companies and government agencies.
  • Post patient payments in an accurate and timely manner to the appropriate line-item charge.
  • Post adjustments accurately and in a timely manner
  • Communicate payment variances from third-party and government agency payers to the Transaction Supervisor in a timely manner.
  • Perform batching and reconciliation workflows.
  • Research and resolve unapplied and/or unidentified payments to ensure monies are properly distributed.
  • Process zero-pay EOBs and refer them to appropriate resources for follow-up and resolution.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

  • At least 2 years’ experience in a similar role in the US Healthcare Industry.
  • Proficient in Excel/Word
  • Experience with Epic, Athena, and/or ECW is a HUGE plus.
  • Familiarity with adjustment codes and denial reasons
  • Proficient in using the 10-key numeric keypad.
  • Typing speed of 40 wpm
  • Strong understanding of medical billing practices and terminology
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to handle repetitious data entry.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
