Position Summary:

As an Accounting Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of financial accounting, ensuring accurate recording of transactions, leading the monthly close process, and managing a team of accounting professionals. Your role will also involve collaborating with various departments, including HR and finance, to streamline processes, maintain compliance, and support the company's growth objectives.

Responsibilities:

  • Own the end-to-end process and recording of financial transactions, encompassing accounts payable and receivable processing, prepaids, accruals, commission calculations, collections, and bank reconciliations.
  • Lead the monthly accounting close process to ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements.
  • Work closely with HR on personnel-related transactions, including benefits administration, 401k management, travel & expense reimbursements, and payroll.
  • Establish and maintain a documented system of accounting policies and processes to enhance the accuracy and reliability of financial records.
  • Lead the annual external audit process and collaborate on R&D research and tax filings to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in financial due diligence processes, providing support to improve corporate internal controls, vendor contract management, and cost control measures.
  • Manage key financial performance metrics including company Net Working Capital (NWC), cash flow, Days Sales Outstanding (DSO), and Days Payable Outstanding (DPO).
  • Recruit, hire, and develop a team of staff accountants, collection personnel, and FP&A analysts to support departmental goals and objectives.

Qualifications:

  • Accounting certification (CPA or CMA) and a 4-year university degree are required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of related accounting experience with at least 2 years of experience leading a team through the monthly close process.
  • Strong technical knowledge of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), with experience in both accounting and Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.

  • Ability to simplify tasks and processes, along with massive attention to detail and extreme follow-through.
  • Proficiency in Excel along with equally strong written and verbal communication abilities.
