Position Summary:
We are in search of an intellectually curious and highly skilled Junior Accountant to be a pivotal member of our rapidly expanding Accounting Team. This position is instrumental in our day-to-day accounting functions and offers exposure to a wide array of accounting activities. Reporting to the Accounting Manager, and in close collaboration with the VP of Finance, CFO, and other senior business stakeholders, the role presents an exceptional opportunity to play an integral part in scaling our accounting and finance practices as we lay the groundwork for an eventual IPO.

Responsibilities:
- Manage sections of our month-end close activities, including:
- revenue recognition
- expense booking (AP, prepaid, accruals)
- bank reconciliations
- prepare expense allocations schedule to properly allocate general expenses using headcount data.
- balance sheet account reconciliations
- income statement account reconciliations
- Manage bills within AP system, code and categorize expenses/invoices as on a daily basis.
- Process employee reimbursements
- Prepare bank payments.
- Maintain fixed asset registers reconciliation.
- Prepare summary reports and perform reflux analysis for expense accounts.
- Assist in the annual audit process.
- Organize files for the finance and accounting team.
- Drive ongoing process improvements and new process implementations for financial operations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting
- Organized and detailed oriented
- Proficient in Excel
- Good communicator – reaches out when they have questions, takes good notes, and communicates status regularly.
- Solid understanding of accounting concepts, familiarity with accounting system(s) and general operational processes
- 2+ years of industry accounting experience
- Experience with Netsuite (preferred)
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or progress towards CPA (preferred)
